People using Council's tips are reminded that if they have sorted their waste before arriving at the tip, they can dispose of the following without charge:

If, after sorting, there is still material to be disposed of in landfill, this will attract a charge.

Charges do apply for the following:

Residents are also reminded that their weekly, kerbside waste collection must use a red-lidded Otto/'wheelie' bin only. Bins with other coloured lids will not be picked up as the lid colour indicates the type of waste within the bin.

Domestic household bins should not be used for green waste, timber off-cuts or metal waste that can make the bin too heavy for the lifting mechanism on the collection truck or cause damage to its compactor. These items can be disposed of at waste facilities.

Residents needing a new bin are asked to contact Council on 6827 1900 or through Council's website here

All residents and business owners should note that fines apply for the illegal disposal of waste outside any of the waste facilities provided across the Local Government Area.
