Call for submissions from local organisations for Council's Capital Improvement Plan

Council is in the process of developing a 10-year Capital Improvement Plan to document and prioritise improved buildings and fixtures for our community and public open spaces. It currently seeks suggestions from local organisations and sporting clubs, with reasons for the improvements proposed.

All local organisations and clubs for whom Council has a current contact have been emailed the letter and form (below) asking for their input. Some organisation's emails are no longer current, so Council is reaching out through the Internet to have members confirm with their executive that they are aware of this request and will make a submission.

Organisations and clubs responding to this request are reminded that there must be an identified need for the improvement, and this need should be made obvious in the submission, preferably justified with quantities and numbers of people benefiting.

The Capital Improvement Plan is a plan, and any works will be dependent on funding being available either from Council and/or a combination of community and grant monies. Work would be prioritised by the elected Council in the context of the Delivery Program and other operational necessities.

The letter to community and sporting groups throughout Coonamble Shire, along with the framework for submissions, can be downloaded here:
