Farm Household Allowance

The Farm Household Allowance aims to provide eligible farmers, and their partners, who are experiencing financial hardship, with assistance through planning and training for long-term financial improvements as well as income support.

The program offers:

• A fortnightly payment (for up to four years).
• Other allowances, such as a pharmeceutical allowance, telephone allowance, rent assistance and remote area allowance.
• A professional financial assessment of the farm business.
• Funding to help develop skills, to access training and to pay for professional advice.
• Regular support of a case manager.
